Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and scripts that remember preferences or measure how the site is used.
Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others help us understand traffic or measure marketing — those only run after you consent.
This policy covers visitors to gnshift.com and related pages we publish. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies wherever our cookie banner is shown.
It does not cover cookies set by third-party sites you leave to, or tools used only inside private client projects under separate agreements.
We group cookies into three categories. You can accept all, reject optional cookies, or customize in our banner.
Necessary — always on. Required for security, load balancing, remembering basic site function, and storing your cookie preference.
Analytics — optional. Helps us understand which pages are useful (for example Google Analytics 4, when installed).
Marketing — optional. Used for ads and conversion measurement (for example Meta Pixel, when installed).
Until you allow Analytics or Marketing, those tags stay blocked under Google Consent Mode v2 and Meta's consent API.
Necessary cookies keep the site reliable and remember whether you have already set cookie preferences so we do not ask on every page load.
These do not require consent under typical ePrivacy / GDPR rules for strictly necessary storage, but we still disclose them here.
Your preference itself is stored locally in your browser (localStorage key gn_cookie_consent_v1) for up to 365 days.
Analytics cookies help us see aggregate usage — which pages get read, where visitors drop off, and whether the site is performing well.
We only enable analytics after you accept Analytics (or Accept all). If GA4 is not yet installed, accepting this category prepares consent for when it goes live.
Marketing cookies and pixels measure campaign performance and may support retargeting when Meta Pixel or similar tools are active.
Marketing stays off until you grant Marketing consent. Rejecting optional cookies keeps advertising storage denied.

Manage cookie preferencesWhen Analytics or Marketing is on, providers such as Google and Meta may process data under their own policies. We configure them to respect consent defaults before any tags fire.
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Preference storage lasts up to 365 days, then we ask again.
Provider cookies (GA, Meta) follow each vendor's retention once consented. Clearing site data or rejecting optional categories stops further optional storage from us.
You can also block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
